  1. Purpose of Position

Under the guidance of the Social Services Supervisor performs a variety of duties related to operating, coordinating and reporting on the day-to-day operations of KWA Social Services CLC programs. 

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct services for 18 to 60+ year old people with disability may include: Outreach, Information Giving, Assistance/Referral and Person-Centered Option counseling;
  • Provide specialized service for unpaid caregivers may include: Outreach, Caregiver screening, T-Care Assessment & Care Plan, caregiver counseling, Caregiver training & consultation, and support Group;
  • Assigns volunteers to specific duties and works together with other social staff;
  • Coordinates and/or works with KWA staff, volunteers and participants to plan activities and special events to enhance services;
  • Refers individuals to various help agencies as required;
  • Participates in recruitment, selection, orientation, recognition, retention and dismissal of staff and/or volunteers;
  • Coordinates and/or conducts required training for staff and volunteers;
  • Collects and enters data for state, federal and other funding programs and/or contracts;
  • Maintains records & data input needed to compile required weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports and submits reports to KWA, federal, state, county, contract and any other department or office as required;
  • Supports activities & reporting requirements of basic food outreach employees;
  • Attend all meetings and trainings as required;
  • Represent KWA internally and externally when involving community events; and
  • Conducts community presentations on social services issues as needed. 
  1. Position Requirements and Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Washington driver's license;
  • Must pass criminal history and reference checks;
  • Bilingual, English-other foreign language as needed;
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, time management & organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively with others;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, WORD, etc.;
  • Ability to be flexible and perform work under time pressure;
  • Ability to work with people of diversity; and
  • Must have knowledge and experience in general business management & supervision. 
  • Educational Level

Bachelor Degree in Social Work or a related field.       

 Working Conditions

  1. Environmental parameters:
  2. Ability to work in an office environment; and
  3. Ability to drive to different locations. 
  1. Physical Demands:
  2. Type: sedentary work ability to perform administrative duties;
  3. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force

frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move an object; and

  1. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, standing, bending, twisting and driving.

  2. Ability to work up to 40 hours a week to include some hours on weekends or evenings.

  14. Ability to log in data and draft data summaries;
  15. Ability to answer inquiries from participants; and
  16. Ability to follow rules and policies of the company.

  18. Ability to complete forms, record and locate data accurately; and
  19. Ability to pay close attention to detail and accurately distinguish data.

  22. Ability to accurately reach, feel or handle equipment used in daily routine.

  24. Ability to pick, pinch or otherwise work with fingers to operate above equipment.

  26. Ability to seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with hands to operate above equipment.
  27. VISUAL
  28. Near vision:
  29. Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
  30. Mid-range vision:
  31. Clarity of vision at distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet.
  32. Far-range vision:
  33. Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.
